New rules starting with the 2018-2019 season
The USBC Board of Directors removed the requirement of a physician’s statement when requesting permission to use special equipment (Rule 4c). The delegates adopted three changes to tournament rules, each effective as of Aug. 1, 2018:
1. All tournament managers must be members of USBC (Rule 303)
2. Tournaments no longer are required to use printed average books (Rule 319a)
3. Tournament management may adopt a rule to allow teams bowling alone to set pace (Rule 325)
